Environmental Impacts Management of A Brazilian Gas Station: A Case Study

Abstract
The relative questions to the impacts of human activities in the environment are becoming increasingly present inworld population#x2019;s life, by receiving great attention from various segments of society in recent years. All industrialsectors are pressured to achieveits activities in harmony with the environment. The gasstations, exercising potentially polluting activities, because ofstored and sold products, as well as effluents, emissions and generated residues, must conduct its activities according to standards and laws to ensure the minimization of risks to the environment, safety and health of employees and neighboring community. In this sense, the focus of this paper is to present, based on a case study, what the environmental management measures adopted at a gas station located in the S#xE3;o Paulo State, Brazilto control environmental impacts generated by its activities, as well as adapt to environmental regulations. It was chosen only a single case study because of the possibility of obtaining more detailed information of the subject and studied organization.
